FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(New London, CT) – Paul J. Narducci, New London State’s Attorney announced that a Superior Court jury today found Cristian Grullon, age 39, of New London, guilty of the crimes of Unlawful Restraint in the Second Degree in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-96, Assault in the Third Degree in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-61 and Disorderly Conduct in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-182. The Honorable Shari A. Murphy presided over the trial.
The conviction stems from a domestic violence incident in New London on November 16, 2019.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 6, 2023 in New London Superior Court.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Alexandra Aksterowicz and Assistant State’s Attorney Marissa Goldberg with the assistance of Paralegal Stephen Sheffield.
