FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(New Haven, CT) – New Haven State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr., announced that Brianna Triplett, age 32, of West Haven, was found guilty by a New Haven Superior Court jury today of Murder in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-54a.
Triplett’s conviction stems from the shooting death of a 29-year-old New Haven woman on March 16, 2021 in New Haven. Evidence presented at trial showed that the victim was fatally shot by Triplett during an altercation.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 25, 2023 in New Haven Superior Court before the Honorable Elpedio N. Vitale.
The case was prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Stacey M. Miranda and Assistant State’s Attorney Kelly Davis, with assistance from Inspector Kevin P. Grenier.
