Jury Finds Manchester Man Guilty of Sexually Assaulting a Child

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

5/19/2025

(Vernon, CT) – Matthew C. Gedansky, Tolland Judicial District State’s Attorney, announced today that a jury in Rockville Superior Court on May 12, 2025, returned verdicts of guilty against Bryan Jaworski, age 48, of Manchester, for two counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(2), and two counts of Illegal Sexual Contact with a Victim Under the Age of 16, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2).

According to evidence introduced at the trial, Jaworski had engaged in sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old victim in March of 2023. Evidence of the defendant’s DNA from semen on the victim’s bed as well as text messages from the defendant discussing the sexual assault corroborated the victim’s account. The case was investigated by Detective Cody Flanigan from the Vernon Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Jaclyn Preville.

The Honorable Moira L. Buckley presided over the trial.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 14, 2025 in Rockville Superior Court.
