(New London, CT) – Paul J. Narducci, State’s Attorney for the New London Judicial District, announced that a Superior Court jury today found Victor Hall, age 32, of New London, guilty of charges of Robbery in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-134(a)(2), Robbery in the Third Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-136, Larceny in the Second Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-123(a)(2), Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-119c, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-217(a)(1). The Honorable Elizabeth C. Leaming presided over the trial.
Evidence from the trial showed that On March 10, 2023, New London police received a report about a carjacking and notified nearby authorities about the incident. When Waterford police officers observed a car matching the description of the stolen vehicle, officers attempted to stop the driver, subsequently identified as the defendant, Victor Hall. Hall engaged the police in pursuit and eventually crashed the car. Hall then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by the police. A firearm was recovered from the immediate vicinity.
The New London State’s Attorney’s Office would like to thank the New London and Waterford Police Departments, as well as the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Division of Scientific Services for their work in this case.
The case was prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Stephen M. Carney, with the assistance of Supervisory Inspector Michael Hurley.
Sentencing is scheduled for January 28, 2026 in New London Superior Court.
