(New Haven, CT) - New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr. announced that a jury in New Haven Superior Court today found Corey Baker, age 48, of Hamden, guilty of Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-73a(a)(1)(A), and Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2).
Evidence presented at trial showed that the defendant engaged in inappropriate physical contact with a female known to him, beginning when she was approximately six years old and continuing through the age of 14.
The Honorable Peter L. Brown presided over the trial and will sentence the defendant on February 6, 2026 in Superior Court in New Haven.
The case was investigated by the East Haven Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Krista N. Minniti, with assistance from Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Lindade, Investigator Kerry Dalling, Inspector Sean Faughnan and Office of Victim Services Advocate Brandi Rodriguez.
