(New Haven, CT) - New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney John P. Doyle, Jr. announced that a Superior Court Jury in New Haven on January 9, 2026 found Mark Lincoln, age 27, of New Haven, guilty of five criminal offenses including, Sexual Assault in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(1), Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(1), Unlawful Restraint in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-95, Assault in the Third Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-61(a)(1), and Threatening in the Second Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a‑62(a)(1).
Evidence at trial showed the defendant sexually and physically abused the adult victim in Wallingford in 2023. Two cases were joined for a consolidated trial before a jury in New Haven Superior Court, with the Honorable David L. Zagaja presiding.
The cases were investigated by the Wallingford Police Department and prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Melissa R. Holmes and Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Elisabeth J. Luczek, with assistance from Inspector Michael Mastropetre.
Sentencing is scheduled for March 18, 2026 before Judge Zagaja in New Haven Superior Court.
