Jury Convicts Man of 2021 Stabbing in New Britain

(New Britain, CT) – Christian M. Watson, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of New Britain, today announced that a jury in New Britain Superior Court on February 21, 2025, found Felix Arroyo, age 66, of New Britain, guilty of Assault in the First Degree, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-59(a)(1).

Evidence introduced at trial showed that the defendant stabbed his neighbor with a knife on Tremont Street in New Britain on September 5, 2021. The victim suffered a life-threatening injury to his liver.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 19, 2025 in New Britain Superior Court. The trial was presided over by the Honorable Chris Pelosi.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Sara Greene with the assistance of Inspector Jerry Chrostowski.
