A Superior Court jury on April 25, 2024 found Jacobs guilty of the crimes of Burglary in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-101(a)(3), two counts of Burglary in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-101(a)(2) and Possession of a Controlled Substance, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 21a-279(a)(1). In a separate hearing in Superior Court, Judge Preleski found that the defendant violated the conditions of his probation.

According to evidence introduced at trial, the defendant assaulted a female and a male in Torrington on November 30, 2019, after unlawfully entering the woman’s residence.  At the time of Jacob’s arrest, he was found to be in possession of cocaine.
