(Bridgeport, CT) - Joseph T. Corradino, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Bridgeport, announced today that the Honorable Peter A. McShane on August 14, 2025 sentenced Nicholas Hall, age 32, of Wallkill, New York, to a total effective sentence of 40 years, suspended after 21 years served, followed by a period of 35 years of probation, for sexually assaulting a minor. Of those 21 years to serve, 15 years are mandatory.
A Superior Court jury in Bridgeport on February 21, 2025 convicted Hall of multiple offenses related to the sexual assault of a 9-year-old child in Trumbull from December 2018 through April of 2020. Evidence at trial showed the defendant abused his position of trust within the family to commit the crimes. The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Kelly Davis and Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Elena Palermo of the Statewide Prosecution Bureau in the Office of Chief State’s Attorney.
Attorney Davis stated, “The victim in this matter was extremely courageous in testifying to the heinous acts that were inflicted upon her. The victim and her family have lived with this case for five years now, and the State hopes that they can find some measure of peace with this disposition.”
State’s Attorney Corradino thanked Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Davis and Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Palermo for handling this challenging trial. The Statewide Prosecution Bureau expressed their appreciation to Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Michael A. DeJoseph, Inspector Martin Heanue and Paralegal Specialist Iris Villanueva for their assistance, and the Trumbull Police Department for their investigation and handling of this case.
