(Bridgeport, CT) - Bridgeport Judicial District State’s Attorney Joseph T. Corradino announced today that a Superior Court jury on February 13, 2025 convicted Brian McAllister, age 46, of Bridgeport, of multiple offenses related to the sexual assault of a child from January of 2013 through December of 2014, and the sexual assault of a second child from September of 2017 through May of 2018. The Honorable Robin Pavia presided over the trial.
McAllister was convicted of two counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(2), two counts Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2), and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(1), in relation to the first victim. He was also convicted of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-71(a)(1), two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2), and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(1), in relation to the second victim.
“Society cannot tolerate the victimization of innocents who then must bear the life-long trauma of abuse. This office will bring to justice those who prey upon children,” State’s Attorney Corradino said.
The jury of four men and two women deliberated two days before returning the verdicts. “The jury treated this delicate matter with great respect,” said Senior State’s Attorney Justina Moore, who tried the case for the state. “They worked conscientiously to return verdicts based on the law and the evidence,” she stated.
Corradino praised Moore as well as Inspector Christian DiCarlo and Bridgeport Police Detectives Thomas Harper and Jeremy Kelly for bringing the cases to a successful conclusion. “The dedicated professionals in our office and our law enforcement partners demonstrate daily their commitment to our most vulnerable victims,” Corradino said.
The state charged the defendant with multiple counts related to the abuse of an 11-year-old child and a 14-year-old child.
Sentencing is scheduled for April 21, 2025 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
