(Rocky Hill, CT) – A Danbury man has been arrested and charged with financially exploiting a Monroe homeowner.
On September 24, 2026, Inspectors from the Statewide Prosecution Bureau in the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney arrested Trevor Bridle, age 49, of Danbury, and charged him with Larceny in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-122(a)(2) and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-48 and § 53a-122(a)(2).
The arrest follows a complaint filed by the Department of Social Services, Protective Services for the Elderly. A subsequent investigation revealed that between December 2023 and April 2026, the defendant and his associates engaged in a scheme that resulted in the wrongful obtaining of more than $1.1 million from the Monroe homeowner. The money was transferred to various individuals and associated business entities, primarily Annas 4 Contracting, LLC, and New Life Painters, LLC.
Most of the financial exploitation was related to supposed improvements to the Monroe home. Investigators determined that the defendant and his co-conspirators billed the homeowner more than $900,000 for renovations to her 988‑square‑foot residence. Despite these substantial invoices, the property showed only minor cosmetic repairs, raising significant concerns of fraud and exploitation.
The defendant is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court, G.A. No. 2, on October 15, 2026.
Bridle is currently being held on a $250,000 bond at the Bridgeport Correctional Center. The charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
