Bridgeport Man Found Guilty of Sexually Assaulting Four Minors

(Bridgeport, CT) - Joseph T. Corradino, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Bridgeport, announced that after a weeklong trial, a jury in Bridgeport Superior Court today found Rahmani Kabwe, age 42, of Bridgeport, guilty of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(2), Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes §53a-71(a), Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(1) and Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-73a. Of the two charging documents totaling 14 counts, Kabwe was found guilty on all counts.

According to the evidence at trial, Kabwe sexually assaulted three young girls between 2019 and 2021, and another child in 2022 while Kabwe was out on bond in the first case.

The case was prosecuted by Special Assistant State’s Attorney Stephen J. Sedensky III, with the assistance of Inspector Christian DiCarlo and Paralegal Specialist Christina Bennett.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 24, 2025, in Bridgeport Superior Court before Judge Earl B. Richards III.
