(Rocky Hill, CT) – Please see below statement issued today by Chief State's Attorney Patrick J. Griffin:
“On this 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, we pause in solemn remembrance and honor all who were lost - the innocent people going about their day, the first responders who bravely rushed toward danger, the service members who gave their lives in the military missions that followed, and those who continue to suffer from 9/11-related illnesses. Their courage and sacrifice remain a lasting testament to our nation’s strength.
As we reflect, we reaffirm our commitment to never forget the individuals and families whose lives were forever changed. Their legacy continues to guide us, and we remain united in remembrance.
I join with the entire Division of Criminal Justice in expressing our deepest sympathies to the families and friends affected by 9/11. Their resilience continues to inspire us.
We will never forget and we will continue to honor their memory through our actions, our service, and our resolve to uphold the values they exemplified.”
