Willington Woman Sentenced in Third Operating Under the Influence Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

8/25/2026

(Vernon, CT)  - Craig P. Nowak, State’s Attorney for the Tolland Judicial District, today announced that The Honorable Tejas Bhatt on August 18, 2026 sentenced Melissa Page, age 45, of Willington, to serve three years in prison, suspended after 16 months served, followed by three years of probation for her third conviction of Operating Under the Influence.

A Superior Court jury in Rockville on May 21, 2026 found Page guilty of Operating Under the Influence, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 14-227a(a)(1).

According to evidence introduced at trial, the defendant was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash on December 28, 2024, on Lakeview Drive in Coventry, where she crashed into an occupied residence. The defendant’s two prior convictions for Operating Under the Influence were both entered on September 20, 2017.

Assistant State’s Attorney Sarah E. Jones of the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney prosecuted the case, with assistance from Inspector Stephen Burstein.

State’s Attorney Nowak would like to extend his gratitude to the Coventry Police Department for their investigative efforts, as well as to the state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection’s Division of Scientific Services for their assistance. He would also like to thank Sergeant Mike Dobler of the South Windsor Police Department for his contributions to the case.
