Judge Finds Clinton Man Guilty of Multiple Charges of Sexual Assault and Risk of Injury to a Minor

(Middletown, CT) – Michael A. Gailor, Middlesex Judicial District State’s Attorney, announced today that on March 20, 2026, the Honorable Laura F. Baldini found Matthew Pixley, age 46, of Clinton, guilty, after a court trial, of four counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-70(a)(2), one count of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-71(a)(1), two counts of Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree, in violation of General Statutes 53a-71(a)(1)(A), and one count of Risk of Injury to a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2).

Evidence presented at trial showed the defendant’s repeated sexual abuse of a child when the child was between the ages of 8 and 13. 

Sentencing is scheduled for May 15, 2026 in Middletown Superior Court.

The case is being prosecuted by Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Steven Lesko with the assistance of Inspectors Joseph Flynn and Mark Miele and Paralegal Specialist Katarzyna Lekarczyk.
