(New Haven, CT) - John P. Doyle, Jr., New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney, today announced that the Honorable John F. Cronan on February 3, 2025 sentenced Chester Hoff, age 47, of Watertown, to 20 years in prison, suspended after six years served, followed by 10 years of probation.
On November 15, 2024, Hoff pleaded guilty in Superior Court in Meriden to charges of Illegal Sexual Contact with a Minor, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53-21(a)(2), and Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-73a. At the time of the offense, the victim was 13 years old and the defendant was 45 years old. The allegations involved intentional sexual touching of the child.
The case was investigated by the Cheshire Police Department and prosecuted by Senior Assistant State's Attorney Nichol Peco.
