Attendance: Maureen Platt, Chair, Scott Casper, M.D., Denise Covington, Candida Fusco, Patti LaMonica, Kristin Sasinouski, Patricia Moriarty and James Kenny

The Meeting was called to order at 3:04 p.m.

The minutes of the September 2019 meeting were reviewed and approved. (Motion-Kenny/ Second-LaMonica).

Denise Covington gave the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner report. There are currently 28 SAFEs. The application period for the spring class will begin shortly. There has been substantial progress in developing a statewide level of care by entering into memorandums of agreement with state hospitals to train SAFEs.

Under old business, Denise Covington agreed to contact members of the Standing Committee on the Revision of the Technical Guidelines to determine if any further revisions are necessary.

Under new business, the problems associated with at home sexual assault kits were discussed.

Meetings for 2020 are scheduled for: March 16, June 15, September 21 and December 14.
