Minutes of the Meeting of November 19, 2012

The meeting was called to order at 12:41 p.m. by State’s Attorney David Shepack
In attendance were: Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane; Deputy Chief State’s Attorneys John Russotto and Leonard Boyle; State’s Attorneys Kevin Lawlor, Stephen Sedensky, John Smriga, Gail Hardy, David Shepack, Peter McShane, Brian Preleski, Maureen Platt and Patricia Froehlich; and Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney James Bernardi for State’s Attorney David Cohen.
Minutes from the prior meeting were accepted unanimously on a motion by State’s Attorney Froehlich, seconded by State’s Attorney Hardy.
State’s Attorney Shepack inquired of the group if any issues have arisen with the State Forensic Lab regarding the prioritization of testing. Chief State’s Attorney Kane explained that the Lab is coordinating these efforts with our offices through Michael Wolf. Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Boyle indicated that the Lab is attempting to coordinate and prioritize testing in burglary cases based on the totality of the circumstances involved in each matter.
The meeting adjourned at 12:50 p.m.
Next meeting will be held on December 17, 2012.
