Minutes of the Meeting of April 23, 2012

In attendance were:  Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane; Deputy Chief State’s Attorneys John Russotto and Leonard Boyle; State’s Attorneys Kevin Lawlor, Stephen Sedensky, John Smriga,

Gail Hardy, David Shepack, Peter McShane, Brian Preleski, David Cohen, Matthew Gedansky and Maureen Platt.

The meeting was called to order at 12:52 p.m.

Motion was made by State’s Attorney Gedansky to accept the minutes of the previous meeting, second by State’s Attorney Platt. The minutes of the previous meeting were accepted unanimously.

State’s Attorney Lawlor inquired of the group if anyone was aware of a policy implemented by the Judicial Branch which prohibits disclosure of non-public information in their computer system to employees of the Division of Criminal Justice. 

No other State’s Attorneys were aware of the policy. Chief State’s Attorney Kane requested that State’s Attorney Lawlor forward the letter from the G.A. No. 5 Clerk of the Superior Court which outlines the policy to the other State’s Attorneys. Chief State’s Attorney Kane indicated that he would discuss the issue with the Judicial Branch and report back at a future meeting.

Meeting adjourned at 12:57 p.m.

Next meeting will be held on May 21, 2012.
