Minutes of the Meeting of December 6, 2023

The meeting was called to order at 12:31 p.m. by Middlesex Judicial District State’s Attorney Michael Gailor.

MINUTES

A motion to accept the minutes from the November 1, 2023 Division of Criminal Justice Advisory Board meeting was made by State's Attorney Mahoney and was seconded by State's Attorney Ferencek. It passed unanimously.

MANAGEMENT

State's Attorney Corradino had nothing to report. Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto reported that a draft of the Supervisor Handbook had been disseminated to the State’s Attorneys and other Division managers for review. Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto solicited comments about the handbook as the Division wants to begin utilizing it in February 2024. It was decided that a formal vote to approve the handbook would be tabled until the January meeting to afford sufficient time for review.

OPERATIONS

State's Attorney Platt reported on a recent Freedom of Information request. The consensus was to table the matter pending further discussion by the Operations Committee.

PEER REVIEW UPDATE

Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto reported on the status of the review process pertaining to four state’s attorneys currently under review.

None reported.

ADJOURNMENT

State's Attorney Corradino made a motion to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by State's Attorney Walcott and passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 12:59 p.m.
