Minutes of the Meeting of May 8, 2024

The meeting convened at 12:34 p.m. via Teams, State’s Attorney Margaret Kelly in the chair.  Present: Chief State’s Attorney Patrick J. Griffin; Deputy Chief State’s Attorneys  John J. Russotto and Robert J. Devlin, Jr. (Inspector General); and State’s Attorneys David R. Applegate (Danbury), Joseph T. Corradino (Bridgeport), Sharmese L. Walcott (Hartford), David R. Shannon (Litchfield), Michael A. Gailor (Middlesex), John P. Doyle, Jr. (New Haven), Paul J. Narducci (New London), Paul J. Ferencek (Stamford), Maureen T. Platt (Waterbury) and Anne F. Mahoney (Windham).

The minutes were approved without correction.

Management Committee Report: The management committee reported on the successful completion of training for supervisors on May 1.

Operations Committee Report: Operations Committee reported on the revisions to DCJ policies 509 (Deadly Force Investigation), 520 (Case Management System), and 521 (Victim Notice)

Revised Policy 509 was unanimously approved.

Revised Policy 520 was unanimously approved.

Revised Policy 521 (Victims Rights Notification) was unanimously approved.

Peer Review Update: Peer review documents are complete and sessions are scheduled for June 12 and June 21. The schedule and panel composition will be forthcoming.

No conflicts were discussed.

There was no other business.
