Minutes of the Meeting of August 7, 2024
The Division of Criminal Justice Advisory Board meeting was called to order at 12:32. State’s Attorney Margaret E. Kelley presiding.

Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting Moved: Lawlor, Second: Ferencek. The minutes were unanimously approved.
Reports of Committees:
Management: Progress is being made by HR staff on revisions to DCJ job descriptions to align with actual work flow across the Division.
Operations: There was a discussion of a general policy concerning physical access by incarcerated defendants and pro se litigants to materials produced in discovery. Suggestions were proposed with the goal of producing a final version for approval. There was a discussion concerning the use of a standard cooperation agreement that addresses concerns raised in recent appellate decisions.
Legislative: There was no report.
Peer Review: Peer review for this year is progressing and most are near completion.
Conflicts: There was discussion concerning recent conflict cases.
Other Business: Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Lawlor requested that SNAP fraud cases be handled by the GA prosecutors after preparation of the case by OCSA inspectors.
There being no further business, the Advisory Board adjourned at 1:12 p.m.
