Minutes of the Meeting of November 19, 2015
Office of the Chief State’s Attorney
Rocky Hill, Connecticut
The meeting was called to order at approximately 9:30 a.m. by The Honorable Richard N. Palmer, Chair.
In attendance were: The Honorable Juliett Crawford, Attorney Mary M. Galvin, Attorney Moy N. Ogilvie, Attorney Ann G. Taylor, and Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane.
Also present: Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney David J. Strollo during the interviews for the position of Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney at the Office of the State’s Attorney, Judicial District of New Haven, Geographical Area (G.A.) 23; and Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Adam B. Scott during the interviews for the position of Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney at the Office of the State’s Attorney, Judicial District of Hartford, G.A. 12, Manchester.
Attorney Taylor made a motion, seconded by Attorney Ogilvie, to approve the minutes of the meeting of June 30, 2015. The motion passed unanimously.
Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Strollo briefed the members about the position in New Haven. The Commission then interviewed the following attorneys: Maura Crossin, James W. Donohue, Melissa R. Holmes, Dennis Mancini and Joseph Murolo.
Attorney Taylor made a motion to go into executive session at 11:56 a.m. to discuss the appointment. The motion was seconded by Attorney Ogilvie and passed unanimously.
Following the executive session, the Commission resumed its public meeting at 12:26 p.m. Attorney Galvin moved for the appointment of Attorney Melissa R. Holmes as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney at the Office of the State’s Attorney, Judicial District of New Haven, G.A. 23. Attorney Taylor seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The Commission recessed at 12:27 p.m. and resumed its public meeting at 12:57 p.m. Attorney Taylor excused herself from the meeting due to exigent circumstances.
Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Scott briefed the Commission about the position in Manchester. The Commission then interviewed the following attorneys: Gregory L. Borelli, Timothy A. Chretien, Sara E. Greene, Thomas H. Houlihan, Jr., and Jonathan D. Lewin.
Attorney Ogilvie made a motion to go into executive session at 2:50 p.m. to discuss the appointment. The motion was seconded by Attorney Galvin and passed unanimously.
Following the executive session, the Commission resumed its public meeting at 3:20 p.m. Attorney Galvin moved for the appointment of Attorney Sara E. Greene as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Hartford, G.A. 12, Manchester. Attorney Ogilvie seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:25 p.m.
