Minutes of Meeting
Thursday, June 20, 2013
The Criminal Justice Commission met on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in Rocky Hill for the purpose of considering the reappointment of the Deputy Chief State’s Attorney for Operations; and any other business to come before the Commission.
The following members were present: Judge Juliett L. Crawford, Attorney Mary M. Galvin, Attorney Moy N. Ogilvie, Attorney Ann G. Taylor and Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane. The Chief State’s Attorney is not a member of the Commission for the purpose of appointing the Deputy Chief State’s Attorney and while present did not participate in the reappointment.
Attorney Taylor opened the meeting at 9:10 a.m. in the conference room. The meeting was open to the public. Attorney Ogilvie made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of December 12, 2012. The motion was seconded by Attorney Galvin and passed unanimously.
The Commission interviewed Leonard C. Boyle, Deputy Chief State’s Attorney for Operations, at approximately 9:20 a.m. Justice Richard N. Palmer, Chairperson, arrived at approximately 9:35 a.m. due to exigent circumstances and joined the interview.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., Judge Crawford made a motion to go into executive session. The motion was seconded by Attorney Ogilvie and passed unanimously.
The Commission resumed its public meeting at approximately 10:30 a.m. Attorney Taylor moved for the reappointment of Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Leonard C. Boyle. The motion was seconded by Attorney Ogilvie and passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 10:31 a.m.
