Minutes of Meeting
May 3, 2012
The Criminal Justice Commission met on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in Rocky Hill for the purpose of conducting interviews for the appointment of Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and any other business to come before the Commission.
The following members were present: Justice Richard N. Palmer, Chairperson, Judge Juliett L. Crawford, Attorney Mary M. Galvin, Attorney Moy N. Ogilvie, Attorney Ann G. Taylor and Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane. Also present: Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Christopher Godialis and Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist (Rehired Retiree) Patricia Alston.
The meeting, which was open to the public, commenced at 9:20 a.m. in the conference room. Attorney Taylor made a motion, seconded by Attorney Ogilvie, to approve the minutes of the meeting of March 9, 2012. The motion passed unanimously.
Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney Godialis provided details regarding the position. Beginning at approximately 9:25 a.m., the Commission interviewed the following attorneys: Marcia Pillsbury, Alexander Beck, Jennifer Dalenta, Jaclyn Preville and LeeAnn Silva.
At approximately 12:00 p.m., Attorney Taylor made a motion to go into executive session to discuss the appointment. The motion was seconded by Attorney Ogilvie and passed unanimously.
Following the executive session, the Commission resumed its public meeting at approximately 1:00 p.m. Attorney Taylor left the meeting at this time. Justice Palmer moved for the appointment of Attorney Alexander Beck as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney for the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney. Attorney Ogilvie seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
After a brief recess, the Commission resumed its meeting at 1:20 p.m. Justice Palmer made a motion to go into executive session to discuss a personnel matter. Attorney Ogilvie seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
No motions were made or votes taken during the executive session. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 1:40 p.m.
