Minutes of Meeting
January 13, 2011

The Criminal Justice Commission met in an emergency special meeting on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in Rocky Hill.

The following members were present: Justice Richard N. Palmer, Chairman, Judge Thomas A. Bishop, Attorney Maura H. Horan, Attorney Alfred A. Turco and Chief State’s Attorney Kevin T. Kane. Attorney Garrett M. Moore and Attorney Ann G. Taylor participated in the meeting by telephone conference call.

Justice Palmer opened the meeting at 7:05 p.m. and said that he had called the meeting to discuss John A. Connelly’s expressed intention to retire as the State’s Attorney of the Judicial District of Waterbury.

At approximately 7:08 p.m., Judge Bishop moved to go into executive session so that the Commission could discuss any personnel performance concerns. The motion was seconded by Attorney Turco and passed unanimously.

At approximately 8:52 p.m., the Commission came out of executive session and Justice Palmer said that after discussion the matter had been tabled pending further discussion. There was a brief discussion about scheduling future meetings.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
