How do I get an internship at DCF?
The CT Department of Children and Families provides internships for undergraduate and graduate students. They’re offered at area offices and facilities.
Who is eligible?
Candidates are evaluated based on their skills and the availability of field supervisors in their area of interest. We give priority to students pursuing a degree in social work. Sociology, criminal justice, psychology, and other degrees can be appropriate, too. The internships must relate to your coursework or program requirements.Social work students must be referred by their field education department or field advisor.
