IDEA Part B Indicator 14: Post School Outcomes (Data Request 0032)
- This request uses DOL employment and wage data to evaluate the percent of youth in Connecticut who are no longer in secondary school, had IEPs in effect at the time they left school, and were (1) enrolled in higher education within one year of leaving high school; (2) enrolled in higher education or competitively employed within one year of leaving high school; and (3) enrolled in higher education or in some other postsecondary education or training program; or competitively employed or in some other employment within one year of leaving high school.
- This request is informed by the requirements of Part B of the IDEA, the federal law that makes a free appropriate public education available to eligible students with disabilities, age 3 through 21 years of age, and ensures special education and related services to those students. Under the IDEA Part B, each state is required to develop a SPP/APR that evaluates its efforts to implement the purposes and requirements of the IDEA and describe how it will improve its implementation.
The Data Sharing Agreement for Request 0032 contains the agreement among all parties to the data request, the data request and variables as well as additional exhibits including the user authorization form, confidentiality agreement, data destruction policy, and the Enterprise Memorandum of Understanding.
