Contaminants of Emerging Concern
An emerging contaminant is a chemical or material characterized by a perceived, potential, or real threat to human health or the environment or by a lack of published health standards. The Site Characterization Guidance Document describes DEEP's recommendations for the investigation of properties and the suggested content of documentation that presents the facts and findings of site characterization by environmental professionals responsible for designing, conducting, and documenting site investigations and by any parties/persons required by law to conduct an investigation of a property in accordance with prevailing standards and guidelines.
The Remediation Roundtable is an open forum for the exchange of ideas and information on the various site cleanup programs in Connecticut and to solicit opinions, advice and information from those outside sources on a routine and established basis.
