COVID-19 Community Levels Update, March 24, 2023: The CDC has listed all eight Connecticut counties in the Low/Green category as part of its weekly Community Levels update. People who are at a high risk for severe illness should consider additional measures to minimize their exposure to COVID-19 and respiratory illnesses. License Based on an Out-of-State License

Before applying for licensure, please familiarize yourself with the general licensing policies.

 

The Department may grant a license to any person who is licensed at the time of application as an esthetician or entitled to perform similar services under a different designation in another state of the United States, the District of Columbia or a commonwealth or territory subject to the laws of the United States and who submits:

 

A current license in good standing to practice as an esthetician from such other state, district, commonwealth or territory, and

 

Evidence of licensed practice in another state, district, commonwealth or territory for a period of at least two years immediately preceding the application.

 

Documentation Requirements:

 

A completed application with photograph and fee of $100.00.

As part of the application process, the applicant will be asked to upload a copy of a current out-of-state license and an attestation form confirming two years of licensed work experience.   If the state where the experience occurred did not have a licensing program at the time the experience occurred, please upload a statement indicating same.
