In accordance with Governor Lamont's emergency declaration, employees and the public are asked to observe social distancing measures to ensure communal safety and to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). People are asked to work from home and telecommute wherever possible. Adhering to these instructions, the Department of Banking has closed its offices to the public. Organization of Holding Company

On August 19, 2015, pursuant to Section 36a-181 of the Connecticut General Statutes, The First Bank of Greenwich, a capital stock Connecticut bank with its main office in Cos Cob, Connecticut, filed an application for approval to organize a bank holding company, First Greenwich Financial, Inc.  Pursuant to an Agreement and Plan of Reorganization filed with the application, First Greenwich Financial, Inc., will acquire all the issued and outstanding shares of The First Bank of Greenwich.
