Minutes of the Meeting of February 24, 2020

State’s Attorney Brian Preleski called the meeting to order at 12:12 p.m.

Also in attendance were:  Chief State’s Attorneys Richard J. Colangelo, Jr., Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Kevin D. Lawlor, Deputy Chief State’s Attorney John Russotto; State’s Attorneys Dawn Gallo (Litchfield), Michael Gailor (Middlesex), Patrick J. Griffin (New Haven), Gail P. Hardy (Hartford), Margaret E. Kelley (Ansonia/Milford), Maureen Platt (Waterbury), Brian Preleski (New Britain),  Stephen Sedensky (Danbury). Cornelius Kelly, Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney (Acting State’s Attorney-Fairfield).

Also present: Executive Assistant State’s Attorney Brian Austin, Jr., Executive Assistant State’s Attorney Amy L. Bepko-Mazzochi, Communications and Legislative Specialist Mark A. Dupuis and Executive Secretary Marisa DePhillips.

State’s Attorney Sedensky moved to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2020, meeting. State’s Attorney Platt seconded the motion and it passed on a voice vote.

New Business:

State’s Attorney Preleski announced the need for an election to replace State’s Attorney Colangelo as Vice President of the Board following his appointment as Chief State’s Attorney. State’s Attorney Preleski noted that the Secretary historically would replace the Vice President and the next-most senior State’s Attorney would become Secretary.

State’s Attorney Griffin moved to follow the past practice and elect State’s Attorney Griffin as Vice President and State’s Attorney Anne F. Mahoney (Windham) as Secretary. State’s Attorney Platt seconded the motion and it passed on a voice vote.

There was no old business.

There being no further business State’s Attorney Gailor moved to adjourn the meeting. State’s Attorney Sedensky seconded the motion and it passed on a voice vote. The meeting adjourned at 12:14 p.m.
