The meeting was called to order at 12:44 p.m. by Chief State’s Attorney Richard J. Colangelo, Jr.

Also present: Deputy Chief State’s Attorney for Operations Kevin D. Lawlor; Deputy Chief State’s Attorney for Personnel, Finance and Administration John J. Russotto, State’s Attorneys Margaret E. Kelley (Ansonia/Milford), Maureen Platt (Waterbury), Stephen J. Sedensky III (Danbury), Joseph T. Corradino (Fairfield), Sharmese L. Walcott  (Hartford), Dawn Gallo (Litchfield), Brian W. Preleski (New Britain), Michael A. Gailor (Middlesex), Patrick J. Griffin (New Haven), Michael L. Regan (New London), Paul J. Ferencek (Stamford/Norwalk), Matthew C. Gedansky (Tolland), and Anne F. Mahoney (Windham).

Also present: Executive Assistant State’s Attorneys John P. Doyle, Jr., Brett Salafia and Gail P. Hardy, Training Program Coordinator Vasi Gournaris, Legislative Liaison Melanie Dykas and Director of Communications Alaine Griffin.

State’s Attorney Kelley moved to accept the minutes of the August 17, 2020, meeting. State’s Attorney Griffin seconded the motion and it passed with no one in opposition.

Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo reported on the Division’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including preparations for possible jury trials in November and ensuring that affected employees get the accommodations they need. Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto said the Judicial Branch would notify the Division in a memo if there are cases and contact tracing will be conducted.

Information Technology Manager Evelyn L. Godbout and Executive State's Attorney Salafia gave a presentation beginning at 1:16 p.m. on the new Case Management System, including the deployment strategy plan for the system. The presentation ended at 2:57 p.m.

Deputy Chief State’s Attorney Russotto said there was no new information to report about the budget but reiterated the state's request for division and agency spending cuts of up to 10 percent. 

Chief State's Attorney Colangelo reminded the State's Attorneys to forward their top legislative requests to Legislative Liaison Dykas.

Executive Assistant State's Attorney Doyle gave an update about the expert witness databank.

Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto reminded State's Attorneys to get a receipt when turning in equipment to the Division.

There being no further business, Deputy Chief State's Attorney Russotto moved to adjourn. State’s Attorney Gailor seconded the motion and it passed with no one in opposition. The meeting adjourned at 3:44 p.m
