Minutes of the Meeting of September 9, 2021

The Honorable Andrew J. McDonald, Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. In addition to Justice McDonald, participating in the meeting were: The Honorable Melanie L. Cradle, Attorneys Robert Berke, Reginald Dwayne Betts and Moy Ogilvie and Chief State’s Attorney Richard J. Colangelo, Jr.  Attorney Scott Murphy was absent due to a prior commitment.

Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo moved to accept the minutes of the July 29, 2021 meeting. Attorney Ogilvie seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Judge Cradle made a motion to go into executive session to interview candidates for positions of Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney in the Judicial District of Hartford, Geographical Area (G.A.) 14; Judicial District of Hartford, Housing Matters; and Judicial District of New Britain, G.A. 15; and to discuss candidates for the position of Deputy Chief State’s Attorney, Office of the Inspector General. Attorney Berke seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

The Commission reconvened in public session at 1:42 p.m. Justice McDonald announced that no motions were made or votes taken during the executive session.

Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo moved to appoint Samantha Magnani and Johnny Ross as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorneys in the Judicial District of Hartford, Geographical Area (G.A.) 14. Judge Cradle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo moved to appoint Abby Marchinkoski as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney in the Judicial District of New Britain, Geographical Area (G.A.) 15. Judge Cradle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo moved to appoint Allison Kaas as Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney in the Judicial District of Hartford, Housing Matters. Judge Cradle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

There being no further business, Chief State’s Attorney Colangelo moved to adjourn. Judge Cradle seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 1:44 p.m.
