The Statistical Division is one of the administrative units that serve both internal needs of the agency and external requests from the public. Among its functions are the following:

  • produces the annually-updated Benefit Rate Tables
  • produces the annually-updated Cost-of-Living Memorandum with calculation instructions
  • liaison between the Commission and the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI)
  • data research to assist the Commission to operate as efficiently and as effectively as possible
  • data research, on request, to assist the General Assembly in its legislative process
  • data research, on request, for external entities regarding various aspects of workers' compensation
  • maintenance of data regarding employer workers' compensation insurance coverage details
