Knowledge Base Overview

A Knowledge Base is a feature that contains a collection of Articles pages organized into Categories and Subcategories.

  • Category - The first level of topics that website visitors can see from the Knowledge Base Home Page.
  • Subcategory - The second level of topics that appear and display a list of tagged Articles when selected.
  • Article - The content page with information on a particular topic or question.

Things to Note:

  • The recommendation is for each agency to have just one instance of a Knowledge Base.
  • A Knowledge Base often requires additional governance because of the Categories, Subcategories, and Articles organization needed.
