Connecticut Core Standards

CCS Leadership Community of Practice Series for Administrators [2014-15]

The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) is partnering with the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) to offer professional development opportunities to Connecticut school principals, central office administration and other invited guests for a series of seven workshops to support the implementation of the CT Core Standards (CCS). Each month CAS, through the Communities of Practice Series, offers administrators the opportunity to share information and experiences, learning from one another for their own personal and professional growth.

Participants will gain a better understanding of the Connecticut Core Standards (CCS) in Mathematics and ELA/Literacy by:

  • engaging in professional development workshops ;
  • sharing information and best practices with administrators statewide; and
  • developing curriculum materials and artifacts for use by school districts.
