Annual and 12-month filings

What are an Annual Filing and a Twelve Months Actual Filing?

Each year, hospitals must report on their operating results from the previous fiscal year, October 1 to September 30. The data and information they send to Office of Health Strategy (OHS) include:

  • Audited financial statements
  • Medicare Cost Reports
  • Hospital and parent corporation legal charts of corporate structure
  • Hospital uncompensated care policies and procedures
  • Other financial data and use statistics

These requirements are spelled out in Section 19a-643-206 (pages 64-69) (PDF) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
