Commissioner Deidre Gifford

Deidre Spelliscy Gifford, MD, MPH, serves the State of Connecticut as Commissioner for the Office of Health Strategy (OHS) and Senior Advisor to the Governor for Health and Human Services (HHS).

Since 2019, Dr. Gifford has implemented strategies to promote healthcare that is accessible, cost-effective, and supported by data. Her goal is to ensure better health for the people of Connecticut.
