How do I ask my health plan to cover more care?

Many health plans limit how many times they pay for a service even if it’s medically necessary. For example, you may need more physical or occupational therapy (PT or OT) to recover from an injury. If your health plan won’t cover the treatment, OHA can help you. We’ll see if the limit is lawful and may be able to convince the health plan to cover your care. Health plans usually don’t pay for “extra” care.
