Governor Malloy Announces TicketNetwork is Second "First Five" Company
Governor Malloy announced today at the grand opening of TicketNetwork’s facility in South Windsor that the company is the second to take advantage of the state’s new “First Five” program. The company will retain 292 jobs and create a minimum of 200 new full-time jobs within two years, and possibly up to 600 over the next ten years.

Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Monday morning Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit the staff of the New England Assistive Technology Center at Oak Hill in Hartford. Oak Hill is a private non-profit corporation that is the largest private provider of services to people with disabilities in Connecticut. They have over 1,400 employees throughout the state and provide community based residential care, day programs, assistive technology, supported work, training to work with people with disabilities, an equipment restoration center, and a fully licensed school and pre-school for children with disabilities.

Monday: Gov. Malloy on Jobs Tour Visits Specialized Technology Resources in Somers
Continuing on his Jobs Tour, on Monday morning Governor Dannel P. Malloy will visit with executives and staff of Specialized Technology Resources, Inc. in Somers. STR, which employs 121 people at its Somers and Enfield facilities, engineers and manufactures the most stable photovoltaic adhesive encapsulants in the photovoltaic-solar module business, formulating new technologies that generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity. The visit will allow Governor Malloy and the company’s executives an opportunity to discuss development strategy and overall business outlook.

On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will attend a ceremony to commemorate the opening of a stretch of the Farmington River Trail in Canton. Final construction of a three-phase project on the section that travels a former rail line on the Farmington River from Unionville through Canton has been completed, connecting neighborhoods along the Farmington Valley Greenway and the Multi-Use Trail to two shopping areas and municipal centers.

Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Visits Jobs Funnel Program, Attends National Guard Send Off Ceremony
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will continue his Jobs Tour with a stop at the construction site of the new police headquarters in New Britain. The project is part of the Jobs Funnel Program, which prepares qualified unemployed/under-employed adult residents in selected communities for good paying construction jobs and career pathways in the building trades industry. Approximately 1,500 Connecticut residents have been placed into construction work through Jobs Funnel efforts in recent years.
