WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS TO DOWNTOWN HARTFORD BUSINESS GROUP; RECEIVES INNOVATION AWARD

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be the featured guest at the Business for Downtown Hartford (BFDH) luncheon, where he will speak to the group about his efforts to incite an economic revival in Connecticut. BFDH is a nonprofit merchant and business group whose primary goal is to create and maintain a vibrant business environment for downtown Hartford.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will attend the University of Connecticut's First Annual Celebration of Innovation Awards Ceremony, where he will be named an "Innovation Champion" for his efforts advocating and supporting new state initiatives such as Bioscience Connecticut, the expansion of Jackson Laboratory into Connecticut and the UConn technology park.
