• Gov. Malloy & Lt. Gov. Wyman on Unanimous Committee Approval of Legislation Encouraging Equal Pay for Equal Work

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that, in the first installment of several rounds of funding, seven towns in Connecticut are being awarded grants under the state's Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) to assist with infrastructure improvement projects.

• Gov. Malloy Announces Launch of Mobile Tool to Help Residents Find Medical and Home Supplies During Emergencies

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) today announced the launch of a brand new public tool in the event of a natural disaster, storm or other type of emergency that will provide consumers with information they need in order to quickly and safely get medicine, supplies, or treatment when travel is difficult and business closures are prevalent.

• Gov. Malloy Announces Funds to Support Affordable Housing Throughout the State

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Department of Housing (DOH) Commissioner and Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) Board Chairman Evonne M. Klein today announced investments of more than $60 million in funding for 14 affordable housing projects across the state. The projects will build and rehabilitate 851 affordable apartments and 246 market-rate units.  

• Gov. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Wyman Create Commission on Youth and Urban Violence

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that they are forming a panel of experts and community leaders from a variety of backgrounds who will be charged with reviewing the sources and causes of youth violence in urban areas, as well as developing proposals that will further reduce the rate of violent crime.

• Gov. Malloy: Habco Industries to Expand Operations and Jobs in Glastonbury

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that HABCO Industries, which builds test and ground-support equipment for the aerospace industry, is expanding its Glastonbury operation and plans to increase its workforce from 42 to 79 over the next four years.

• Gov. Malloy Announces Fourteen Communities Awarded Funding to Create 416 Additional Preschool Slots

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that over $3.5 million in state funding is being awarded to fourteen towns and cities across Connecticut that will expand the availability of high-quality preschool to 416 additional children.

• Gov. Malloy Joins Officials to Commemorate the Launch of CTfastrak

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined federal, state and local transportation and elected officials at a grand opening ceremony in downtown New Britain to inaugurate service on CTfastrak - Connecticut's new bus rapid transit service in central Connecticut.  CTfastrak operations begin on Saturday, March 28, 2015, starting with nine days of free service for riders.

• Gov. Malloy: Precision Manufacturer in Windsor to Expand Operations, Increase its Connecticut Workforce

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that precision manufacturer Leipold, Inc., the Windsor–based division of internationally known Leipold Gmbh, will be expanding its Connecticut operation and increasing employment by up to fifty percent over the next two years.

• Gov. Malloy: With Launch of CTfastrak this Weekend, CTtransit Bus Service Will Now Operate on Sundays in Bristol, New Britain and Waterbury

  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Commissioner James P. Redeker today announced that CTtransit bus service will now offer new Sunday service in Bristol, New Britain and Waterbury, beginning this Sunday, March 29, 2015.  The additional service, which will also run on all major holidays - including the upcoming Easter holiday on Sunday, April 5, 2015 - coincides with the launch of the CTfastrak bus rapid transit system this weekend.

• Monday: Gov. Malloy Keynotes Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce Dinner

  On Monday evening, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will keynote the Waterbury Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner in Watertown, where he will speak with the local business community about his agenda for Connecticut’s future and his vision to transform the state’s infrastructure to create jobs and attract business.

  On Monday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join an expanding company, Novitex Enterprise Solutions, for the opening of its new MegaCenter in Windsor. The Governor will also discuss the state's jobs report, which is scheduled to be released by the Connecticut Department of Labor earlier in the morning.

  Today at 2:00 p.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a media conference call to discuss the White House panel discussion on transportation infrastructure that he is helping lead today.  

• Tuesday: Gov. Malloy & Lt. Gov. Wyman Make Announcement on the Future of Connecticut’s Transportation Infrastructure

  On Tuesday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will hold a news conference at the State Capitol in Hartford to make an announcement regarding the Governor's 30-year vision for Connecticut's transportation infrastructure.
