Gov. Malloy: Commissioner Reviczky Announce Anticipated Funds for State Agricultural Investments
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Department of Agriculture Commissioner Steven K. Reviczky today announced that the State Bond Commission is anticipated to approve at its upcoming meeting an allocation of $500,000 that will be used to continue the Department of Agriculture’s Farm Reinvestment Program, which provides matching grants to farmers to expand or improve working farms in accordance with business plans to keep the farms working for at least ten years.

Gov. Malloy: Rep. Grogins Announce Funding for Upgrades to Brooklawn Avenue in Bridgeport
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and State Rep. Auden Grogins (D-Bridgeport) today announced that Friday’s State Bond Commission agenda includes an item of $250,000 to the City of Bridgeport for the revitalization of Brooklawn Avenue between Villa and North Avenues. The proposed project consists of improvements and repairs to the medians, sidewalks, site improvements and landscaping.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy, U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro, Mayor John DeStefano and Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez led a ceremonial groundbreaking today for the reconstruction of the I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange in New Haven – a $357 million piece of the $2 billion Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge replacement project.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut M-8 Rail Fleet Continues to Grow
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Metro-North Railroad (MNR) today announced that a third set of M-8 rail cars was put into service this morning, bringing to 130 the number of train runs operating with the new cars each week. A total of 26 new M-8s have now been accepted from Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc., and put into service on the New Haven Line.

Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Participates in House of Bread Ribbon Cutting, Attends Hartford Magnet Middle School Celebration
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for House of Bread, a soup kitchen and day shelter in Hartford that serves 200 adults and more than 400 children each day. The organization has moved into a new building that will now have a second kitchen, a larger dining area, new offices and a conference room.
