WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY PARTICIPATES IN HOUSE OF BREAD RIBBON CUTTING; ATTENDS HARTFORD MAGNET MIDDLE SCHOOL CELEBRATION
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for House of Bread, a soup kitchen and day shelter in Hartford that serves 200 adults and more than 400 children each day. The organization has moved into a new building that will now have a second kitchen, a larger dining area, new offices and a conference room.
On Wednesday afternoon, Governor Malloy will attend a celebration at Hartford Magnet Middle School to commemorate the school's selection as the best magnet school in the United States. The award, given annually by Magnet Schools of America, is presented to the one magnet school in the country that most exemplifies a commitment to diversity, high academic standards and curriculum innovation.
