Solving CT WiZ system errors

If you’re seeing a system error, check for the following:

1. Verify that you have an Internet connection.

2. Check the CT WiZ News section on the Home Page (click Home on the left sidebar) for any current issues.

3. Clear your cookies.

4. Restart your computer.

5. You must use a supported browser. CT WiZ is supported in:

  • Microsoft Edge
  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox

6. Turn off your browser's Pop-up Blocker.

  • The Pop-up Blocker must be turned off to ensure that CT WiZ sends all necessary messages. If you click a button and no window is rendered, check that the Pop-up Blocker is turned off.
  • If the Pop-up Blocker is turned on, a warning message will appear telling you to turn off the Pop-up blocker. Click on the warning message to disable the Pop-up Blocker.

7. Turn on JavaScript in Google Chrome.

  • Enable JavaScript via the Settings menu by clicking the three vertical dots located in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window.
  • Click the "Settings" link, and then click “Privacy and Security” in the left sidebar.
  • Select “Site Settings”, scroll down to the “Content” section, and select JavaScript. Enable JavaScript by selecting the option labeled "Sites can use JavaScript."

8. Turn on JavaScript in Mozilla Firefox

  • In the address bar, type “about:config” (with no quotes), and press “Enter”.
  • Select “Accept the Risk and Continue” on the “Proceed with Caution” page.
  • Click “Show All” at top.
  • Scroll down to “javascript.enabled” (with no quotes).
  • If it says “True” in the center column, you already have JavaScript enabled. If it says “False”, toggle the corresponding button on the right. It should now say “True” and JavaScript is enabled.
