The Equal Employment Opportunity & Diversity division works to protect the rights of employees and clients. The team follows state and federal civil rights laws to guide hiring and daily operations.

The division’s staff:

  • Oversees all parts of the hiring process
  • Provide training on employee rights, diversity, and respectful workplace behavior
  • Ensure contract compliance in relation to small business and minority business goals
  • Support fair and open recruitment
  • Investigate complaints of discrimination from employees and clients
  • Make sure the agency follows the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Prepare the Affirmative Action Plan

Annually, the agency’s affirmative action plan is reviewed and approved by the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
