Physician Recruitment and Retention Working Group

Pursuant to Public Act 24-19, Section 37, the Physician Recruitment Working Group was established to advise the Commissioner regarding methods to enhance physician recruitment in the state. Specifically, the group was reconstituted to study issues related to primary care residency positions in the state and methods to retain physicians who perform their primary care residency in the state.

In 2025, the working group held standing meetings on the the third Tuesday of the month from 7:30-8:30am.
