On January 6, 2022, Governor Lamont signed Executive Order 14B mandating that “covered LTC workers” of a “long-term care facility” (“facility” or “facilities”) must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, and if eligible under FDA or CDC guidance, receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster by February 11, 2022. Special Act 22-1, signed into law on February 15, 2022, extended the compliance date to March 7, 2022. Facilities had to submit the requested information and Declaration of Compliance electronically through the DPH FLIS portal.

Facilities subject to Executive Order 14B must have reported compliance with Executive Order 14B by March 8, 2022, no later than 11:59p.m.

Pursuant to the Executive Order, a facility’s failure to timely report to DPH is a violation of the Order and subject to a civil penalty of up to $20,000 per day for each day the report is incomplete, or the attestation is unsigned.

Civil Penalties have been issued to non-compliant facilities. Please refer to the instructions on how to submit your remittance.
