HARTFORD, CT — The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) is celebrating June Dairy Month by recognizing the essential contributions of the state’s dairy farm families and highlighting community events taking place throughout the month. Connecticut’s 80 dairy farms care for more than 19,000 cows and steward over 70,000 acres of farmland, producing fresh, nutritious dairy products while strengthening local economies and preserving working lands.
Through the Connecticut Milk Promotion Board, administered by CT DoAg, dairy farmers continue to support youth athletics, local food education, and community events that help residents connect with the people producing their milk, cheese, and other dairy products.
